Military escalation | Israeli missiles hit Iranian militias positions killing three Air-Defence officers

SOHR activists have documented the death of three officers and injury of four others of the regime’s “Air-Defence” in the Israeli shelling on military positions and warehouses of Iranian militias in the vicinity of the capital Damascus.

Violent explosions were heard in the Syrian coast and Misyaf area in Hama countryside and the middle region of Syria, due to regime air-defence forces blocking Israeli missiles over the Mediterranean sea, meanwhile military positions of Iranian militias in the vicinity of Al-Manae’ mountain near Al-Kaswa city in the south western Rif Dimashq were shelled, in addition to Jamraya area northern of the capital Damascus and the Damascus International Airport.

Moreover, remnants of an Israeli missile hit a farm in Al-Saida Zainab southern to the capital and controlled by Iranian militias.

According to reliable SOHR sources, fire broke out in positions of Iranian militias in the vicinity of the Damascus International Airport, where ambulances were spotted rushing to the targeted area, amid confirmed information of casualties.

Earlier today, SOHR activists reported hearing violent explosions in the capital Damascus and its countryside due to Israeli shelling on positions of Iranian militias in Jamraya area in Rif Dimashq and other areas in the south western Rif Dimashq and the vicinity of the Damascus International Airport.

According to other SOHR sources, most of the missiles hit the targeted positions, amid decline in the regime’s air-defence that block Israeli missiles.

It is worth noting that this is the 13th Israeli shelling on Syrian territory in 2022.
