Arbitrary arrests | Al-Majd Corps and Military Police arrest two civilians in Afrin city to collect ransoms

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that Al-Majd Corps faction, which controls Midana village in Raju district in Afrin countryside, arbitrarily arrested a civilian for unknown charges, on May 18, while he was in his way to his village from Aleppo, despite having settled his security status in Afrin.

During the past week, a Military Police patrol arrested a man from Shikhotka village in Maabatli district of Afrin countryside for “dealing with the former Autonomous-Administration” to collect ransom.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that a Civil Police patrol arrested three civilians from Kawnda village in Rajo district in Afrin countryside on May 17, for “going out on night guard shifts during the control of the Autonomous Administration over Afrin”, for the goal of collecting ransoms.
