Old ordnance | Child killed in landmine explosion in Manbij countryside, east of Aleppo

SOHR activists have documented the death of a child due to the explosion of an old landmine on the outskirts of the western town of Al-Hamrah, in the countryside of Manbij city , east of Aleppo, in areas controlled by SDF forces of “Manbij Military Council.”

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 103 civilians, including five women and 43 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 119 civilians, including nine women and 70 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq.
