Old ordnance | Landmine explosion injures children in Daraa countryside

Daraa province: SOHR activists have documented the injury of three children, due to the explosion of an old landmine in the southern valleys of Ankhil city in the northern Daraa countryside, where they were transported to Al-Sanmin Military Hospital to receive proper medication.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 103 civilians, including five women and 43 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 122 civilians, including nine women and 73 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq.
