Security chaos in regime-held areas | Young man detonates grenade in commercial store in Misyaf

SOHR activists have documented the injury of a man and a woman severely, where a young man opened a hand grenade inside a clothing store in Misyaf city in regime-held areas western of Hama, without knowing the reasons. They were transported to the national hospital in the city to receive proper medication.

This comes in light of the security chaos in areas of the Syrian south.

On May 4, SOHR activists reported that a member of the National Defence Forces detonated a grenade in a public square near Al-Hussain mosque in Daf Al-Shok area in Rif Dimashq, following quarrels between him and several young men, leaving several civilians injured most of them being children and they were transported to the hospitals of the capital Damascus to receive proper medication.

The Syrian Observatory has documented 65 murders in regime-controlled areas since early 2022, where domestic violence and armed robbery were behind some of these murders, while motivations behind the others remained unknown.
