After entry of Russian reinforcements to Ain Issa | Russian jet fires air-to-air missiles in the airspace of “Peace Spring” area

A Russian fighter jet executed three airstrikes with air-to-air missiles over Tel Abyad and Ras Al-Ain areas in “Peace Spring” areas.

This comes after Turkish forces brought military reinforcements to areas in northern of Al-Raqqa.

Yesterday, SOHR activists monitored the arrival of a military convoy of dozens of armoured vehicles of Russian forces at their base in Ain Issa district, the “capital of Autonomous-Administration” north of Al-Raqqah.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, Russian forces started to erect soil barriers on the opposite side of a Turkish base located in Sayda town, north of Ain Issa. The reasons behind this development remained unknown.

This development came in light of the Turkish president’s talks about conducting military operations targeting areas controlled by SDF in northern Syria under the pretext of establishing a “safe zone.”
