Amid arrival of military reinforcement | Turkish-backed factions put on high alert in “Euphrates Shield” area

Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported seeing military reinforcement of Turkish-backed factions arriving in “Euphrates Shield” area in north and east Aleppo. Meanwhile, members of Ahrar Al-Sham and “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” have been put on high alert along the area from Jarabulus to Al-Hamran crossing in eastern Aleppo for unknown reasons.

On May 23, SOHR activists reported that violent clashes erupted between suspects and drug dealers on one hand, and “Al-Mu’tasim Division” on the other in Al-Ne’ma neighbourhood in Mare’ city centre, amid a state of panic and fear among residents, as bullet projectiles hit residential neighbourhoods. The confrontations escalated as Al-Mu’tasim Division and the drug dealers exchanged rocket fire.

According to Syrian Observatory activists, “Al-Mu’tasim Divison,” backed by “military police,” carried out a raid campaign and arrests since morning, arresting several drug dealers and users, including members of the “National Army.”

Moreover, Al-Mu’tasim Division imposed a curfew in some neighbourhoods in Mare’ city and blocked the city’s entrances.
