Al-Hasakah | Regime officers escorted by Russian forces and SDF conduct inspection tour in areas on Syria-Turkey border

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that Regime officers escorted by Russian forces and members of SDF Relation Commission have conducted inspection tour at regime positions along an area from the Syria-Turkey border in east and west Al-Darbasiyah countryside to the frontlines with “National Army” and Turkish forces in Abu Rasin countryside (Zarkan) in north-western Al-Hasakah. Meanwhile, Russian aircraft flew over the area, providing guarding to the convoy. It is worth noting that such tours by joint patrols of regime, Russian forces and SDF are very rare in that region.

This coincides with the propaganda by Turkish media outlets about imminent incursion into SDF-held areas in north Syria region by Turkish forces and their proxy factions.

SOHR activists have just reported frequent flights by Russian and Coalition helicopters, fighter jets and drones in the airspace of the northern and north-western countryside of Al-Hasakah since early hours of Friday morning.

According to Observatory sources, two Russian helicopters were flying Al-Qamishli, Amuda, Al-Darbasiyyah on the Syria-Turkey border and Abu Rasin (Zarkan) in the north-western countryside of Al-Hasakah since 06:00 am.

On the other hand, US drones and helicopters flew over Qasrak base in the east of Tel Tamr in north-western Al-Hasakah, heading to areas in the south of Al-Darbasiyyah and the east of Abu Rasin.

Also, six Russian helicopters flew over the border strip between Syria and Turkey in Ain Al-Arab countryside (Kobani), east of Aleppo.
