Old ordnance | Explosion of old object injures children in Al-Suwaydaa

Al-Suwaydaa province: SOHR activists have documented the injury of four children, due to the explosion of an old object while playing with it in Al-Ba’ath city in Al-Suwaydaa countryside, where they were transported to the hospital to receive proper medication.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 109 civilians, including five women and 45 children, due to explosions of landmines and unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 126 civilians, including nine women and 77 children, sustained various injuries in the same period, in addition to a man and his son under the rubbles of a building in Dariyah in Rif Dimashq and four men under a collapsing building in Jobar neighbourhood.
