Security chaos | Two killed and others injured in clashes between local faction backed by Military Intelligence and tribesmen

Al-Suwaydaa province: Clashes with medium weapons and grenades are still taking place in Al-Makos neighbourhood in Al-Suwaydaa between groups of Bedouin tribes and members of a local faction backed by the Military Intelligence, after the local faction kidnapped several people the tribes and took them to unknown destination.

Accordingly, the number of people killed has raised to two and others injured, amid security tension and closure of roads by the tribes.

Earlier today, SOHR activists documented the death of a civilian, where he was shot dead in shooting in Al-Makos neighbourhood in Al-Suwaydaa.

According to reliable SOHR sources, a local faction attempted to arrest a resident of Al-Makos neighbourhood, while a group of people resisted and shooting took place between them, amid security tension in the city.

This crime comes in light of mounting chaos and incidents of insecurity across southern Syria

On May 23, SOHR sources reported that people found the body of a volunteer in the “State Security” branch on Damascus-Al-Suwaidaa road, north of Al-Suwaidaa.
It is worth noting that the dead man is from Rima Al-Lahf village in Al-Suwaidaa countryside and worked as a taxi driver after ending his day shift.
