100th joint patrol | Russian and Turkish forces tour Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) countryside

SOHR activists have monitored new patrol conducted by Russian “Military Police” and Turkish forces in Ain Al-Arab/ Kobani countryside.
The patrol, consisting of eight Russian and Turkish military vehicles, has set off from Ashma in the western Kobani countryside.

The patrol has toured the villages of Jarqli Fawqani, Qaran, Dikmadash, Khorkhuri, Buban and Jul Bek, reaching Tel Sha’er village, four kelometres to the west of Kobani.

The patrol has then toured the villages of Susan, Qula, Qarah Qua Tahtani, Binder, Mishkko, Jebnah, Jarqali Fawqani, to Ashmah village.

Turkish military vehicles have entered from the gate near Ashmah village, while Russian military vehicles returned to their position near Sarin town, south of Kobani.

It is worth noting that this patrol is the 100th between the two sides in the region since the Russian-Turkish agreement on a ceasefire in north-eastern Syria.
