Arbitrary arrests | Turkish-backed factions continue to arrest civilians in Afrin city and countryside
Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that on May 28, members of Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah patrol arrested a civilian from Afrin city near Kawa Haddad roundabout for unknown charges. Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah members took him to an unknown destination.
On May 27, political security personnel stationed at a checkpoint at the entrance to Jendires district in Afrin countryside arrested a civilian from Jenderes district for “Dealing with the former Autonomous Administration.” The civilian was taken to political security’s security headquarters in Jendires district.
Moreover, members of a military police patrol arrested this week a civilian from Shikhotka village in Maabatli district in Afrin countryside for “Dealing with the former Autonomous administration.”
On May 28, SOHR activists reported that Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah faction that controls Kafr Mazzah village in Sharan district in Afrin countryside arbitrary arrested a civilian from the same village for “Dealing with the former Autonomous administration,” and to collect a ransom from him on May 26.
