Aleppo | Manbij Military Council forces thwart infiltration attempt by Ankara-backed factions, north of Manbij and wage counter-attack on Turkish base

SOHR sources have reported that “Manbij Military Council” forces operating under the banner of SDF have foiled an infiltration attempt by Turkish-backed “”National Army” affiliated groups in Al-Mohsenli village in the northern countryside of Manbij, east of Aleppo.

According to SOHR activists, violent clashes have broke out between Turkish-backed “”National Army” affiliated groups and “Manbij Military Council” forces operating under the banner of SDF.

The “Manbij Military Council” forces have waged a counter-attack on a military base of Turkish forces in Halunji village, north of Manbij, amid exchange of rocket fires between the two parties. No further details have been reported about the number of casualties and material damage.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported seeing a Russian armoured vehicle touring areas in Kafr Naseh and Kafrnaya areas nearby Tel Rifaat to the north of Aleppo city, where Kurdish and regime forces are deployed.

This development came as a part of the recent movements by Russian forces following the latest statements by the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan about “clearing” Tel Rifaat and Manbij in the north and north-eastern countryside of Aleppo.
