Unfounded news | SOHR denies arrival of reinforcements by Turkish forces and “National Army” factions in “Peace Spring” area

SOHR sources have confirmed that the circulated news claiming that Turkish forces and “National Army” factions have brought in reinforcements to Tel Abyad city in “Peace Spring” area, northern Al-Raqqah countryside.

Syrian Observatory sources have also denied all the news circulated by regime and Turkish media about any military movements of Turkish forces and “National Army” factions.

A few hours ago, SOHR activists reported seeing a joint military patrol conducted by Russian and Turkish forces in the western and eastern countryside of Al-Darbasiyah at Syria-Turkey border, while two Russian helicopters flew over the areas.

The joint patrol of eight Turkish and Russian military vehicles set off from Sherik village and toured the villages of Delik, Salam Alik, Quneitrah, Qurmaniyah, Tel Kadish, Kar Batali, Jadidah, Tel Tirah, Tel Karmah, Khasaki and Mudawarah to the road between Amuda and Al-Darbasiyah in northern Al-Hasakah countryside, then the patrol returned from the same road.

The running of joint patrol coincided with intensive Turkish shelling of the villages and towns in Tel Tamr and Abu Rasin (Zarkan) countryside in Al-Hasakah province.

This morning, SOHR activists reported intensive shelling carried out by Turkish forces on SDF-held areas controlled by SDF, where regime forces are present in the northern countryside of Al-Hasakah since the early hours of Thursday morning.

The intensive ground bombardment targeted the villages of Al-Abush, Al-Dadrah, Tel Shannan, Qasr Touma Yilda, Tel Jumaa’, Al-Aghibash and Al-Tawila in Tel Tamr countryside in the countryside of Abu Rasin (Zarkan).

Turkish intensive shelling left at least a civilian injured in Mahramaleh village, and caused material damage.

Meanwhile, Russian helicopters flew over the airspace of Tel Tamr countryside in the countryside of Abu Rasin (Zarkan).

Furthermore, the area witnessed a mass exodus of civilians.
