After having brought in helicopters and jets | Russian forces install air-defence unit in Al-Qamishli airport

Reliable sources have told SOHR that Russian forces have installed an air-defence unit, “pantsir-sa,” in Al-Qamishli airport as a part of recent messages by Russia in light of Turkish threats to launch a military operations into north Syria region with the aim of establishing a “safe zone.”

 

On May 27, SOHR activists reported that two Russian fighter jets and six helicopters landed in Al-Qamishly airport in Al-Hasakah countryside, along with medial propaganda about potential Turkish military operation into SDF-held areas in north Syria region.
