New assassination | Head of regime military intelligence station in Daraa province killed in western countryside

SOHR activists have reported that unknown gunmen shot the head of regime military intelligence station dead in Tsil town in the western countryside of Daraa.

 

According to SOHR sources the targeted man was a former member of opposition factions, before he struck a reconciliation deal and joined regime forces in 2018 when regime forces regained control of the entire province.

 

Since early 2022, the number of attacks documented by SOHR in Daraa province has risen to 236, which left 192 people dead; and they are as follows:

 

  • 93 civilians, including two women and four children.

 

  • 78 regime military personnel, “collaborators” with security services and members with settled-status working for regime services and backed militias.

 

  • Ten former fighters who did not joined any military formation, after striking reconciliation deals.

 

  • An ex-ISIS member.

 

  • Seven unidentified people.
