Security chaos | Unidentified gunmen target previous factional commander in Daraa

Daraa province: SOHR activists have reported that unidentified gunmen opened fire on a commander of the “Military Security” in Al-Sabil neighbourhood in Daraa Al-Mahata in Daraa province, injuring him and he was transported to the hospital.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the target is Mostafa Al-Mosalma known as Mostafa Al-Kasam, who was a prominent factional commander and underwent reconciliation with the regime after its control over Daraa, and became a commander of the “Military Security.”

Since early 2022, the number of attacks documented by SOHR in Daraa province has risen to 237, which left 192 people dead; and they are as follows:

• 93 civilians, including two women and four children.

• 78 regime military personnel, “collaborators” with security services and members with settled-status working for regime services and backed militias.

• Ten former fighters who did not joined any military formation, after striking reconciliation deals.

• An ex-ISIS member.

• Seven unidentified people.
