Old ordnance | Landmine explosion injures three oil company employees in Syrian Desert
SOHR activists have documented the injury of three oil company employees, due to the explosion of an old landmine while they were checking the gas line between the second and third stations in the Syrian Desert, where they were transported to Basil Al-Assad National Hospital in Palmyra.
Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 113 civilians, including six women and 48 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 141 civilians, including nine women and 88 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
