Al-Raqqah | Turkish forces and their proxies target vehicle and civilian houses

Al-Raqqa province: SOHR activists have reported that Turkish forces and their proxies shelled civilians’ houses in Al-Sina’a neighbourhood in Ain Issa district in northern Al-Raqqah countryside, injuring a civilian severely and he was transported to a hospital in Ain Issa district.

Moreover, Turkish artillery shelled a car on the International Highway western of Ain Eissa district, and shelled Hoshan and Estrahat Ain Sakr villages western of Ain Eissa. However, no casualties have been reported yet.

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented the injury of three civilians, due to shelling by Turkish forces with heavy weaponry on Abo Naitola village in Ain Eissa countryside northern of Al-Raqqa, where they were transported to Jalabiyah hospital while the village is still under intermittent ground shelling.

On June 4, SOHR activists monitored entry of regime convoy carrying military reinforcements to Ain Issa district in northern Al-Raqqah countryside.
The reinforcements comprised tanks, an artillery, heavy weapons and dozens of soldiers.
This coincided with the propaganda by Turkish media outlets about imminent military operation and incursion into areas of north-eastern Syria.
