Anti-smuggling campaign | SDF arrests father and shoots his son in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that a SDF military force have raided the house of a person smuggling goods into regime-held areas from SDF areas in Shannan village in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, arresting the man.

While the smuggler’s son was shot by SDF force while attempting to escape, leaving the smuggler son injured.

The son has been taken to the hospital for treatment.

This morning, SOHR activists in areas held by Autonomous Administration, east of Euphrates reported that a SDF military force, backed by International Coalition raided Al-Shuhayl town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor in the early hours of Wednesday morning, arresting a person who had recently arrived from Saudi Arabia on a visit to his family in Al-Shuhayl town. However, the reasons for his arrest remained unknown.
