Al-Suwaidaa | Clashes between Military Intelligence service and Anti-Terrorism forces leave casualties
Al-Suwaidaa province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a military member and injury of four others in Khazma village in Al-Suwaidaa countryside, due to clashes between armed group of the Military Intelligence of the regime security services and armed group of Anti-Terrorism forces.
According to reliable SOHR sources, the Military Intelligence and its loyal local groups raided the village and took over properties of the armed grous of the Anti-Terrorism forces, that withdrew to the desert.
Local sources confirmed that the Military Intelligence executed loot and theft operation on several houses after breaking into them, including the house of the leader of Anti-Terrorism forces and burnt two cars before the armed groups withdrew from the village.
Earlier today, SOHR sources reported that violent clashes broke out in Khazmah village in south-eastern Al-Suwaydaa countryside between an armed group of regime security service of “Military Intelligence Branch” and another armed group of counter-terrorism forces.
These violent clashes erupted because regime security service of “Military Intelligence Branch” has accused members of “counter-terrorism forces” of stealing a car, amid appeals by residents to stop the fighting and violent clashes.
These clashes also ignited a state of panic among people.
On June 4, SOHR activists reported that an armed group of the regime’s “Military Intelligence Branch” from Al-Suwaydaa established checkpoints on the international highway between Damascus and Al-Suwaydaa, near Salim town and detained several officers and regime soldiers while they were passing on the highway.
According to reliable SOHR sources, the armed group arrested them to pressure the regime security services to release a detainee from Al-Suwaydaa from their prisons in Damascus.
