Armed fighting | Commander of counter-terrorism forces shot dead by “Military Intelligence” fighter in Al-Suwaidaa

SOHR sources have reported that residents in Al-Suwaidaa found the body of the commander of counter-terrorism forces dumped on the sidewalk of Al-Mashnaqah roundabout in the city centre on Thursday morning after being shot dead last night.

The commander of counter-terrorism forces was killed over the violent clashes that broke out in Khazmah village in south-eastern Al-Suwaidaa countryside between an armed group of regime security service of “Military Intelligence Branch” and another armed group of “counter-terrorism forces.”

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented the death of a military member and the injury of four others in Khazma village in Al-Suwaidaa countryside, due to clashes between armed groups of the Military Intelligence of the regime security services and armed group of Anti-Terrorism forces.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the Military Intelligence and its loyal local groups raided the village and took over the properties of the armed groups of the Anti-Terrorism forces, that withdrew to the desert.

Local sources confirmed that the Military Intelligence executed loot and theft operations on several houses after breaking into them, including the house of the leader of Anti-Terrorism forces, and burnt two cars before the armed groups withdrew from the village.
