Old ordnance | Landmine explosion injures young man in regime-held areas in Hama

SOHR activists have documented the injury of a young man severely, due to the explosion of an old landmine in Taibat Al-Imam town in Soran district in Hama, and he was transported to the hospital to receive proper medication.

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented the injury of a 10 years old girl, who was displaced with her family from Jabal Al-Has to Idlib countryside, due to the explosion of an old object of war remnants at Mariam camp near Ma’arat Masrin city.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 113 civilians, including six women and 48 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 143 civilians, including nine women and 89 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
