Ongoing threat of previous shelling | Three displaced children drowned in waterhole formed by earlier shelling in Al-Raqqah

On Friday evening, three children drowned after they fell into a hole formed by a previous aerial bombardment on Al-Raqqah near a water-filled “agricultural water drain” in Souq Al-Jumah area in Al-Rumaylah neighbourhood, north of Al-Raqqah.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the three children are of one family from Al-Mayadeen city in Deir Ezzor countryside and were displaced to Al-Raqqah earlier.

According to SOHR sources in Al-Raqqah, Rumaylah, Sahla Al-Banat and north of Al-Sikkah in Al-Raqqah have indiscriminate water Big wheels and hazardous sewage and drains, beside which potholes were formed owing to previous shelling on Al-Raqqah. Children from the region play near these water Ferris wheels, without taking into account the risks of sickness or drowning.
