Rampant security chaos | Man killed by unidentified gunmen, north of Idlib

Idlib province: SOHR activists have monitored a new incident of security chaos in areas controlled by Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham and factions in Idlib province and its surrounding countryside.

Yesterday, the residents in Zardana town found the body of a civilian on the outskirts of the area.
Initially, conflicting stories referred that the murder was committed by a suicide bomber or armed men. Then it becomes clear that the victim was killed by unknown persons.

The dead man was a spice dealer, “Attar,” and a rich man. The preliminary investigations refereed that the crime was committed for theft and robbery.

Accordingly, SOHR activists have documented 22 incidents of security disorder in areas held by HTS and factions in Idlib and the surrounding countryside, which left 24 people dead, and they are as follows:

• 16 civilians, including a woman and three children.

• Three combatants, including an HTS fighter.

• Five unidentified people.
