Turkish shelling | Rockets hit areas north of Manbij and Shirawa district in Aleppo countryside

Turkish forces have carried out a rocket attack on Tel Al-Seryatel in Al-Halunji village, north of Manbij city in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, breaking out fires at the targeted area, SOHR activists reported.

Turkish forces have also shelled Binah/Abyan village in Shirawa district in the countryside of Afrin. No further details have been reported about material damage or human losses.

Meanwhile, SOHR activists have reported seeing two Russian helicopters flying at low altitude over the frontlines between regime forces and SDF military forces on the one hand and “National Army” and the Turkish forces on the other, in Al-Bab countryside, reaching the countryside of Marea in the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo. Then the helicopters returned to their starting point at Kuwyras airport.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that hundreds of regime soldiers started deploying in different areas of Manbij countryside in north-eastern Aleppo countryside.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the number of regime soldiers is at least 2000 soldiers and the deployment of these soldiers will occur in batches that started a few hours ago and were concentrated in areas of Al-Sajor line in Manbij countryside at Syrian-Turkish borders.

This comes in light of media talk of potential Turkish military operation in the region.
