Landmine explosion | 11 people, including five children under 18, killed north of Daraa

SOHR activists have reported that the death toll of a landmine explosion in a car carrying wheat-harvesting workers in Deir Al-Adas town in northern Daraa countryside has risen to 11 people, including five children under the age of 18 and three women.

According to SOHR sources, 28 civilians were injured, including Some people have amputations injuries.

Persons who sustained critical injuries have been transferred to the hospitals in the capital, Damascus, so the death toll is believed to rise.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 124 civilians, including nine women and 53 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 171 civilians, including nine women and 89 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
