Ant-ISIS campaign | SDF backed by Coalition air and land forces arrests ISIS leader north of Deir Ezzor

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and International Coalition air and land forces carried out a security operation, arresting an ISIS leader in Ruwaished village desert in northern Deir Ezzor countryside in the early hours of Sunday morning, SOHR sources reported.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the commander, who was arrested, was a “local fighter.” When the ISIS leader was arrested, there were in his possession weapons, equipment, documents and military clothing.

It is worth noting that ISIS fighter was involved in planning, identifying, and transmitting information to ISIS cells operating in the area.

Yesterday, Reliable sources informed SOHR that Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) troops backed by the International Coalition forces, carried out an airdrop operation in the vicinity of Al-Hawl town in eastern Al-Hasakah countryside, arresting an owner of a “currency exchange” office and two of his siblings.
