Ongoing violations | “National army” continue to seize and sell properties of forcibly displaced people in Afrin

As Turkish-backed factions continue their violations against displaced people’s properties in Afrin by seizing civilian houses and subsequent sale at low prices through illegal sales contracts, SOHR activists have reported that Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah faction member sold two houses in Al-Ashrafiyah neighbourhood for 1000 USD each. These two houses were owned by two siblings from Badanli village in Raju district in Afrin countryside.

Moreover, “Jayish Al-Sharqiyyah” member sold a house in Al-Mahmudiyah neighbourhood in Afrin for 1,200 USD owned by a resident from “Conde Mazen” village in Sherawa district in Afrin countryside.

Furthermore, a displaced man from Hama sold a business for 1000 USD. The shop was owned by a resident from Darkerih village in Maabatli village. The displaced man sold the shop without the owner’s knowledge.

On June 11, SOHR activists reported that a member of “Malakshah” faction from Hama sold a house in Afrin for 1,400 USD. The house is originally owned by a civilian from Qastal Miqdad village in Bulbul district.

Moreover, another “Malakshah” militiaman sold a shop in Afrin for 3,000 USD which is owned by a man from Sharan district.

Furthermore, members of “Rijal Al-Harb” faction had completely and partially cut down more than 40 olive trees to sell them as fire logs. The olive trees are belonging to a man from Medana village in Raju district.
