Anti-regime attack | Gunmen open fire on regime checkpoint in Qudsaya, Rif Dimashq, while regime forces amass troops and block the area’s entrances

SOHR activists reported the unidentified gunmen have attacked a military checkpoint of regime forces at the entrance to Qudsaya city in Rif Dimashq, between Qudsaya district and Qudsaya city, amid reports that an officer had been injured.

Responding to this attack, regime forces have opened fire on the vehicle.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, regime soldiers at checkpoints have blocked the entrances and exits to the area following the attack, amid a security alert now underway.

On June 12, OHR activists have documented the death of a member of the engineering units of the regime forces while dismantling an IED planted by unidentified persons on the road between Bayt Jinn area and its farm in western Rif Dimashq.

On June 11, SOHR sources reported that an armed conflict broke out between Osman family on the one hand and several other families on the other in Bayt Jinn area in western Rif Dimashq, leaving four children injured.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the reasons for the dispute and fighting remained unknown.
