Military escalation | Turkish forces fire dozens of shells on Manbij while Manbij Military Council shoots down Turkish drone

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that forces of the Manbij Military Council, which belongs to SDF, shot down a Turkish drone in Manbij countryside in areas under their control.

On the same context, Turkish forces fired over 30 mortar shells on Al-Mahsanly and Awn Al-Dadat villages in northern Manbij countryside, and hit civilians’ houses causing material damages.

This comes in light of escalation of Turkish bombardment on areas held by SDF and loyal factions.

Turkish forces carried out a rocket attack on Tel Al-Seryatel in Al-Halunji village, north of Manbij city in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, breaking out fires at the targeted area, SOHR activists reported on June 11.

While on June 6, SOHR activists reported that Turkish forces fired heavy artillery shells on Al-Hamra and Tel Torin villages western of Manbij eastern of Aleppo. However, no casualties were reported.
