Iranian drone attack | Position of Coalition-backed faction comes under attack in the 55-kilometre zone at Syria-Jordan-Iraq border triangle

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that a drone, believed to be an Iranian one, has targeted Coalition-backed “Maghaweer Al-Thawrah” faction in the 55-kilometre zone which is controlled by the International Coalition and “Maghaweer Al-Thawrah” faction at Syria-Jordan-Iraq border triangle

According to Syrian Observatory sources, Iranian-backed militias stationed at Al-Olayaniyah, nearly 30 km from Al-Tanaf base area have attacked “Hosh Matroud postison,” north-west of 55-kilometre zone at Al-Tanaf base.

On Tuesday morning, SOHR activists reported hearing explosions and gunshots in the 55-kilometre zone at International Coalition’s Al-Tanaf base, at Syria’s eastern border with Jordan and Iraq, caused by joint exercises by Maghaweer Al-Thawrah” faction and International Coalition forces.

According to SOHR, this was the third military exercise conducted by the International Coalition forces and Maghaweer Al-Thawrah faction since early June 2022.
