ISIS attack | Five Luwaa Al-Quds militiamen killed in Al-Sokhna desert in Homs

ISIS cells clash with Iranian militias and regime forces near the third station eastern of Homs.

SOHR activists have reported that the bodies of five militiamen of the Russian-backed Palestinian Luwaa Al-Quds faction were transported to “Bassel Al-Assad” National Hospital in Palmyra city, where ISIS members shot them dead while their car was passing near the junction of Ark village coming from Al-Sokhna desert towards Palmyra city.

Moreover, SOHR activists monitored violent clashes between ISIS cells on one hand and Iranian-backed militias and regime forces on the other hand near the third station in Palmyra desert eastern of Homs.

Yesterday, reliable sources informed SOHR that ISIS fighters waged an attack on regime forces’ military bus in Syrian desert near regime forces’ positions in the vicinity of 55-kilometre zone, leaving at least nine regime soldiers dead and injured.

According to SOHR statistics, the number of fatalities in military operations in the Syrian desert since early 2022 has increased to 226; and they are as follows:
• 112 ISIS members were killed in Russian airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in the deserts of Homs, Al-Suwaidaa, Hama, Al-Raqqah, Deir Ezzor, and Aleppo.

• 113 soldiers of regime forces and their proxy militias were killed in 43 operations by ISIS members, including ambushes, armed attacks, and explosions, in western Euphrates and the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Homs, Al-Suwaidaa, Hama and Aleppo.
