Family dispute | Man dies of wounds sustained by shootout between two families in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a man of wounds he in a family dispute that developed into exchange of gunfire between the two families in Al-Shuhail town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in areas controlled by “Autonomous Administration,” east of Euphrates.

This morning, SOHR activists monitored a failed assassination attempt that targeted a person in Al-Kassar village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

Two gunmen on a motorcycle, believed to be ISIS cells, opened intensive fire at a man’s house. No casualties have been reported.

It is worth noting that the man is an oil wells lessor.

On Friday, SOHR activists in areas controlled by “Autonomous Administration” east of the Euphrates monitored a new assassination of an SDF member in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, when unidentified gunmen, believed to be ISIS fighters, shot dead an SDF member in Al-Basirah city.

Since early 2022, SOHR has documented 97 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 74 persons dead: 30 civilians and 44 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces, and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

It is worth noting that these attacks have not included the operation of Ghuwayran prison, which left heavy losses.
