Third assassination attempt in hours | Young man shot dead by unidentified persons in eastern Daraa countryside

SOHR activists have reported that unidentified gunmen assassinated a young man in Sidon town in the eastern countryside of Daraa province.

It is worth noting that the young man is from Maarabah town, east of Daraa, and he is a civilian and owns a petrol station.

This morning, SOHR activists reported that unidentified gunmen shot dead a civilian in Tel Shihab town in the northern countryside of Daraa.

Meanwhile, regime soldier was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Al-Harak town in the eastern countryside of Daraa this morning.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the regime soldier is from Arab formation in Azraa city and lived Al-Harak city and had arrested and his father for a while by “military security” forces and after being released from prison, he joined the regime forces.

Since early 2022, the number of attacks documented by SOHR in Daraa province has risen to 256, which left 210 people dead; and they are as follows:

• 102 civilians, including two women and four children.

• 86 regime military personnel, “collaborators” with security services and members with settled-status working for regime services and backed militias.

• 11 former fighters who did not join any military formation, after striking reconciliation deals.

• An ex-ISIS member.

• Seven unidentified people.

• Three militiamen of the Russian-backed 5th Corps.
