Military escalation | Turkish forces shell village in Tel Tamr in Al-Hasakah

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that Turkish forces stationed in “Peace Spring” area have fired heavy artillery shells on Al-Kozlaih village in Tel Tamr countryside north western of Al-Hasakah. However, no casualties have been reported yet.

On June 18, SOHR sources reported that Turkish forces started a new round of artillery and rocket fire on Tawilah village in Tel Tamr countryside in north-western Al-Hasakah. The Turkish bombardment caused material damage to civilian properties.

SOHR activists reported that Turkish-backed factions conducted live-fire exercises, in the presence of Turkish officers, in eastern Ras Al-Ain countryside (Sere Kaniye) in Al-Hasakah countryside in “Peace Spring” area near the frontlines with areas controlled by SDF and regime forces west of Abu Rasin.

These military exercises came as part of Turkey’s escalation and the potential military operation in areas controlled by SDF.
