Protesting poor living conditions | Residents demonstrate in Al-Ya’ribiyah in Al-Hasakah

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that residents of Al-Ya’ribiyah town went out on demonstrations in SDF-held areas in Al-Hasakah countryside, protesting against poor living conditions and demanded improvement of electricity situation in the area.

According to reliable SOHR sources, residents cut roads with burning tires presenting their rejection to the living conditions in the area.

It is worth noting that SDF areas witnessed previous demonstrations and protests demanding the “Autonomous Administration” to hold responsibilities in light of the deteriorating living conditions.

Moreover, SDF-held areas witnessed a raise in fuel prices, leading to reduction in operating hours of the electric generators, in addition to a raise in teleportation costs.

On June 11, Syrian Observatory activists reported seeing a protest staged by residents in front of the “Local Council” in Al-Kasrah town in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, which is under the control of SDF, where the people protest against the poor living conditions, demanding to dismiss those responsible for distributing bread in the town.
