Turkish offensive | Heavy artillery shells hit villages in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside

SOHR activists have reported that Turkish forces have fired over 20 artillery shells on the villages of Abyan, Uqaybah and Soghunakah in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside, north-west of Aleppo, where Kurdish and regime forces are deployed. No further details have been reported about the number of casualties and damage caused by the shelling.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that Turkish forces fired heavy artillery shells on the outskirts of Tel Qirah village in northern Aleppo countryside and Abin village in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside in areas held by Kurdish and regime forces, coinciding with the flight of a Russian warplane over the region. However, no casualties were reported.
