Joint patrol | Russian and Turkish forces tour border area in Al-Hasakah countryside

SOHR activists have monitored a joint patrol conducted by Russian and Turkish forces in eastern Al-Qamishli countryside, while two Russian helicopters have flown over the area.

The joint patrol of eight Turkish and Russian military armoured vehicles has set off from Derona Aghi and toured around the oil wells in Rifi Rumaylan and Maa’bda/Turbah Sbeh.

On June 16, SOHR activists reported that Russian and Turkish forces conducted a new military patrol in northern countryside of Al-Hasakah.

The joint patrol of eight Turkish and Russian military vehicles set off from Shirik village, west of Al-Darbasiyah, and toured the villages of Delik, Malak, Abbas and Al-Aliah, and Dhohr Al-Arab, and reached Kisra checkpoint in Abu Rasin countryside, and then headed to Taa’lak, Tabsha, Baraka, Barkafri, Quneitra and Sheikh Mansour before returning to their starting point.
