Old ordnance | Civilian injured in landmine explosion in Ain Al-Arab countryside (Kobani)

Aleppo province: A civilian sustained serious injuries this afternoon in the explosion of an old landmine in Qarmough village in the eastern countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani).

 

SOHR sources have just reported that six civilians sustained various injuries due to the explosion of an old landmine in Ain Hussein village in the north-eastern countryside of Homs. The injured civilians were taken to a hospital in Al-Zahraa neighbourhood in Homs city.

 

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 125 civilians, including six women and 54 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 183 civilians, including nine women and 94 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
