Suicide rates on the rise | Young man detonates grenade, killing himself in Al-Hasakah countryside
Three suicides committed across in last 72 hours
SOHR activists have reported that a young man committed suicide by detonating a grenade himself at his house in Tel Barak area in Al-Hasakah countryside.
Meanwhile, a 42-year-old woman stabbed herself in the wrist and abdomen to death in Safita city in the countryside of Tartous province yesterday.
On the same day, June 22, a man committed suicide by shooting himself in Matna village in the countryside of Masyaf, Hama province.
This comes in light of the escalating rate of suicides throughout Syria and for various reasons, including poor living conditions, extreme poverty, unemployment and psychological problems related to social conditions.
