Missing for a month | Residents find body of child in area hosting camps in Idlib

Idlib province: SOHR activists have monitored a new security chaos incident in areas held by HTS and factions in Idlib and surrounding countryside, where the body of six years-old child was found showing strangulation signs in the outskirts of a displacement camp in Kalaly area in northern Idlib countryside.

It is worth noting that the child went missing nearly a month ago, however no information of the murderers or circumstances and the nature of the child’s death was reported.

On June 11, the residents in Zardana town found the body of a civilian on the outskirts of the area.

Initially, conflicting stories referred that the murder was committed by a suicide bomber or armed men. Then it becomes clear that the victim was killed by unknown persons.

The dead man was a spice dealer, “Attar,” and a rich man. The preliminary investigations refereed that the crime was committed for theft and robbery.

Accordingly, SOHR activists have documented 23 incidents of security disorder in areas held by HTS and factions in Idlib and the surrounding countryside, which left 25 people dead, and they are as follows:

• 17 civilians, including a woman and three children.

• Three combatants, including an HTS fighter.

• Five unidentified people.
