Military escalation | Turkish forces renew shelling on villages in Kurdish-held areas in Aleppo

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that Turkish forces stationed in Jalbal village in Shirawa district, have renewed shelling on Kurdish-held areas in Aleppo countryside, where shells hit the vicinity of Kashta’ar, Abin and Tanb villages in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside northern of Aleppo. However, no information of the extent of the damage was reported.

On June 25, SOHR activists reported that Turkish forces stationed at Jilbul base in Shirawa district, Afrin countryside fired heavy artillery shells on the vicinity of Soghunakah village in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside. No further details about the material and human losses were reported.

Moreover, Turkish forces stationed at Jalbal base in Shirawa district and scientific research base in Azaz city intensively shelled the vicinity of the villages of Kashtaa’r, Abyan and the forest of Soghankah village in Shirawa district.

Turkish shells also hit the villages of Maranaz, Mengh and the vicinity of Tel Rifaat in northern countryside of Aleppo, where Kurdish and regime forces are stationed, causing material damage only.
