Rising shiism activity in Syria | Many Shia’a visitors entre Syria to visit holy sites and shrines
Recently, the holy sites of the Shia sect in the capital, Damascus, such as Mrs. Ruqayya, Mrs. Zainab (PBUH) and others, have witnessed a remarkable increase in the number of visitors of different nationalities, some from Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and others from Bahrain.
According to Syrian Observatory sources, some Shia’a visitors entre Syria by land from Iraq. The first destination is to visit the shrine of Ain Ali on the outskirts of Al-Mayadeen and other holy places in Deir Ezzor countryside and then go to the capital, Damascus.
While other Iranian, Pakistani and Bahraini visitors arrive in Syria either through Aleppo International Airport, or Damascus International Airport which returned to work four days ago following the recent Israeli attack that led to being out of service.
