Iranian activity in Syria | Afghan “Fatimiyoun” militia rehabilitates ex-ISIS tunnel in Al-Mayadeen to storage weapons and ammunition

SOHR sources in west Euphrates area,” Iranian colony in Syria, have reported that Afghan” Fatimiyoun “militia have rehabilitated a tunnel linking “feed depot with gym” in the outskirts of Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

It is worth noting that SIS had previously dug the tunnel during its takeover of the area in 2016

Now, Fatimiyoun militia has fully rehabilitated and equipped the tunnel to make maximum use of it.

SOHR sources have also added that the importance of this tunnel to Fatimioun militia is that this tunnel links the fodder depots to the gym, which are militia headquarters in Al-Mayadeen area, as the tunnel will facilitate the transport and storage of weapons and ammunition without being monitored by flights.

On June 22, SOHR sources in “Iranian colony” area west of Euphrates in Syria reported that four commercial Iranian-backed militia trucks arrived in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor from Iraqi territory.

The trucks arrived at night and headed to the archaeological area of Al-Shibli on the outskirts of Al-Mayadeen, east of Deir Ezzor, and then headed to the positions of Iranian-backed militia in Maadan desert in Al-Raqqah.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, these trucks carry weapons and ammunition, including Iranian-made medium-range missiles.
