Al-Hasakah | Health Committee in Ras Al-Ain closes pharmacies and confiscate medicine

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that the Health Committee and the Civil Police closed some pharmacies and confiscated medicine in Ras Al-Ain city in “Peace Spring” operation areas in Al-Hasakah countryside.

On the other hand, disputes occurred between pharmacies’ owners on one hand and the Health Committee of the Local Council and Civil Police on the other hand, where Civil Police members opened fire to end the disputes.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the Health Committee of the Local Council in Ras Al-Ain gave the pharmacies’ owners a period of time to obtain licenses and certificates from the Local Council, where some pharmacists haven’t responded, causing more tension.

Moreover, members of Suqor Al-Shamal faction interfered and opened live fire in the air to stop the disputes and stop the Health Committee’s work until the disputes are over.

Last week, the Health Committee confiscated huge amounts of medicine, and publically burnt some of them and returned another portion of medicine to the owners after they bribed the Committee.
