Strengthening Russian presence | Russian convoy leaves its base in eastern Al-Raqqa countryside

Al-Raqqa province: SOHR activists have reported that a Russian military convoy left Al-Tarfawy base in eastern Al-Raqqa countryside, comprising six military 4×4 vehicles and headed towards Tel Al-Siman base and Ain Eissa northern of Al-Raqqa.

This comes as part of strengthening the Russian presence in Ain Eissa as one of the routine actions by Russian forces in the area.

On June 4, SOHR activists monitored the entry of regime convoy carrying military reinforcements to Ain Eissa district in northern Al-Raqqa countryside.

The reinforcements comprised tanks, an artillery, heavy weapons and dozens of soldiers.

This coincided with the propaganda by Turkish media outlets about imminent military operation and incursion into areas of north-eastern Syria.

Syrian Observatory sources also denied all the news circulated by regime and Turkish media about any military movements of Turkish forces and “National Army” factions.
