Smuggling wheat to Turkey | Anger spreads in areas held by Turkish forces and their proxies

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have monitored a state of anger among residents in areas held by Turkish forces and their proxies, as the commander of Al-Sultan Murad Faction “Fahim Al-Eissa” smuggles wheat and barley to Turkish territory and sells them to Turkish companies through Al-Ra’y border crossing with Turkey, amid residents fearing the effect of these smuggles on the reserves of flour and the prices of flour and bread.

Although the interim government of the National Coalition prevented exporting wheat to neighbouring countries or smuggling it to areas held by the regime or SDF to secure the strategic stock of wheat and barley and to preserve the prices of bread, however the smuggling operations done by the National Army including Al-Sultan Murad faction is still taking place ignoring the interim government’s resolution and ignoring the negative impact of these smuggling operations on the civilians.
