Armed attack | “National Defence” militiamen attack police station in Deir Ezzor over seizing motorcycles

SOHR sources in Deir Ezzor have reported that an armed group led by “Abu Arab,” the leader of “National Defence” militia, severely beat police officers of Al-Thawrah district police station in Deir Ezzor last night.

An armed clash broke out between the police officers at Al-Thawra neighbourhood police station and national defence fighters in Al-Jurah neighbourhood in Deir Ezzor.

The law enforcement forces intervened to defuse the clashes.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the clash was erupted over seizing unregistered motorcycles of relatives of members of the National Defence during a campaign by police officers to confiscate motorcycles that were not registered in government departments.
