Renewed family clashes | Man dead and four others injured in northern Deir Ezzor countryside

SOHR activists have reported that clashes between cousins in Al-Husan town in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor have renewed on Sunday morning.

These clashes have left a person dead and four others injured.

In these clashes, medium and light weapons and rockets have been used by both parties.

It is worth noting that SDF intervened and set up checkpoints and barriers between the two parties so that there would be no further clash between them.

Meanwhile, dignitaries of Al-Bakarah tribe arrived to resolve the family dispute.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported the outbreak of armed fighting between cousins of Al-Bakir tribe in Al-Sour city, north of Deir Ezzor, killing one person as he was hit by stray bullets and clashes continue to this moment as tension continues in the area.

This comes in light of the escalating incidents of tribal fighting and murder for revenge in Deir Ezzor province.

On July 1, SOHR activists documented the death of a person in disputes between cousins in Al-Hosan town in SDF-held areas, escalating to clashes with trade fire between them, with tension among the residents and interference of the dignitaries to resolve the disputes.
